When you need the whole bed for hauling big loads, the G2’s quad-fold panels make it simple. Just unlatch each section and fold them toward the cab. You can drive with the cover folded flat using the built-in buckles, or lift it upright and secure it with the prop rods. The rubber bumpers keep it from touching the cab, and even with the cover flipped up, your third brake light stays visible. It’s a design that gives full bed access without ever removing the cover.

With the tailgate closed and locked, the bed is sealed up tight. Each aluminum panel latches automatically as it folds down, so there’s no need for extra locks or cables. Hidden release cords under the panels make it easy for you to open, but tough for anyone else to get in. The hard panels don’t flex or peel up at the edges, keeping gear safe from both weather and theft.

The 1/2" thick aluminum panels have insulated cores that add strength without extra weight. They’re rated to hold up to 300 lbs of evenly distributed weight, so you can sit or stand on them when needed. The black paint finish with a hair cell texture resists corrosion and UV rays, while aircraft-grade aluminum rails with a black powder coat finish support everything underneath. Smooth-action hinges and latches are built to last as long as the truck.
Even in heavy rain, the G2 keeps your bed dry. Matte black rubber seals run along the perimeter to block water, and any that does get through drains out through built-in gutters and hoses routed behind the cab. That drainage system keeps water from pooling under the cover, protecting your cargo from moisture year-round.
Installing the G2 doesn’t require drilling or special tools. The side rails clamp to the inside of the bed rails, and bolts secure the front hinge rail in place. Everything lines up cleanly for a snug, flush-fit look that leaves stake pockets open for racks or other accessories. Once tightened down, you’re ready to go without any extra hardware or adjustments.

Still is exactly what I hoped it would be. Adds security to my pick up bed, looks great and gets compliments. Plus it is easy to use. Great product...

After using it for a while Im extremely happy with this cover. It has been a game changer, making my 2008 Ford Ranger bed far more useable and convenient for carrying a variety of items. One of the best purchases Ive ever made for it.

After a year of use the cover still works perfectly and I would highly recommend this cover. I really like the fact that you can open up different sections without having to open the whole thing.

Hi Mardy. I have heard this to be a difficult install and the latches to be stiff (though adjusting them helps), but noisy, flimsy, and poor quality are firsts for a BAK product like this. What kind of noise are you getting? Is something maybe not tightened down all the way causing part to stick up? And, what part are you finding flimsy or poor quality?

Actually its closer to two years and I could not be more pleased. I have done a few rainy road trips and the one thing that worried me was if it would keep the contents dry and it did. Al else about the cover has been good too. Good product and it fit like a glove.

It has been holding on strong. One of the weather strips was coming undone, but I was able to adhere it back down.
